Lucas was selected by an all-artist jury comprised of Teresita Fernández, Joan Jonas, Julie Mehretu, Cindy Sherman, and Kiki Smith, and is the first of five recipients over 10 years who will be selected by a rotating jury . VENUS VICTORIA will be on view for two years in a new outdoor plaza on Bowery at Prince Street created as part of the New Museum’s OMA-designed building expansion.
